No staples booklet
The no staples booklet allowed for designs and Medias to be experimented with for the end result. To produce this we work as a team producing lots of ideas and individual design our own no staples booklet about small press and what it can be about. I like this as each page has different lists and ideas on it with the mix media designs on it. Turned over to the other side it leaves a great large space to design a poster. This is made out if 1 sheet off A4 paper with a cut in the middle of the paper along the folds to allow it to take shape of a booklet and create pages.
King Cat
This idea has been influenced by "king cat" and its designs. It creates humour and tells a story through a comic structure. The book has been created with paper and the simple media of black biro pen. I like the layout of the book but find the media very limited. This is one of the pieces I have chosen to redo and improve upon using different medias of black ink, such as parker ink, black paint and the final biro ink which has worked better for this design of book.
Poem
Creating a poem through new paper and magazine cut outs allows the poem to come a live with random, wacky ideas. This was a piece which allowed me to experiment with different fonts and Medias. I like the process of creating the poem through newspaper and magazine cuttings, though I found the media I used to be limited when designing the front page and background. This is a piece which I have chosen to improve over time and experiment further with words and Medias.
Vetor characters
These designed images have been created through computer basic programs (Photoshop) and the use of a camera. Working as a group we got lots of different photos from around the surrounding areas with may angles and views of them. I started off designing the characters with ink and paper which I then scan in to the computer to computerise my designs. I tried to create images where the monsters are portrayed as their normal role creating trouble in our world. Once the monsters had been designed on the computer I experimented with the different effects and elusions to make the images stand out more and to add more detail.
